RIngleaders & Instructors
Robin is a Craftstitute co-ringleader. She has worked as a teacher, turnip farmer, business manager, and upholsterer. She is a patient and calm teacher, and has an amazing gift for attention to detail. Her current obsession is dyeing fabric for use in her other business, MiMBY.
Classes taught: knitting, knitting rescue, block printing, sewing: cloth napkins, tote bags, work aprons, costumes
Erika is a Craftstitute co-ringleader. She is a maker, a tinkerer, and a lover of intense color. Her quilts do not follow the rules and she hangs her clothesline in chromatic order. Her time in the Bay Area and Ithaca crafting communities has been spent learning and teaching quilting techniques, spinning, felting, weaving, knitting and natural dyeing. She works with cloth, paper, wood, clay, dryer lint, bone, cheese wax, wire, and tile. Teaching at the Craftstitute is a natural extension of her love for creative experimentation. See some of her work online.
Classes taught: indigo dye pot, acid dye, surface design: marbling, surface design: stitched resist, sewing: costumes
